Our Philosophy
High quality dental care and patient comfort are our goals. We are
committed to helping your child achieve the best possible dental
results in a comfortable and friendly environment. Even a child who
eats properly and cleans his teeth thoroughly needs professional
care. We do everything possible to keep your child smiling and
cavity-free, using the latest preventive techniques. But when
dental problems arise, our anxiety-free setting and attention to
patient’s comfort make for easy appointments.
Unlike some dental
offices, parents are invited to stay with their child throughout
their appointment.
Your child should have a comprehensive dental, periodontal and
orthodontic examination regularly. We use the findings from our
examination to formulate a complete diagnosis and comprehensive
treatment plan for your child. We will do our best to give you an
estimate of treatment required for your child. However, as we are
working with your child, we may find other problems. If this
happens, we will inform you as soon as possible.
Recommendations for treatment are explained during the
consultation or new patient visit. Our goal is to
ensure that you receive the best information concerning
your child’s treatment options. Our time invested in
patient education enables us to render the best possible
outcome for your child’s dental treatment.
People often ask us “Why fix baby teeth? Aren’t they going to fall
out?" While it is true that all primary teeth will usually fall out
eventually, many children have baby teeth until the early teenage
years. Untreated decay in baby teeth can lead to pain, infection
and problems with the permanent teeth. We can avoid these and other
problems by restoring decayed baby teeth that will be present for
more than one year.
Meet Our Team
Pediatric dentists are the “pediatricians of
dentistry”. The very young, pre-teens and teenagers all need
different approaches in dealing with their behavior, guiding their
dental growth and development, and helping them avoid future dental
problems. The pediatric dentist is best qualified to meet these
needs. Pediatric dentists undergo special training for two or three
additional years...learning how to better understand and care for
children with their special dental and emotional needs. Our
pediatric dental office is “naturally” child centered to create
anxiety-free surroundings that include thoughtful “touches”...with
everything from smaller chairs to video games.
